With a plethora of new cars coming out next year, Maruti Suzuki is prepared to make waves in the industry. The business is preparing to introduce additional new vehicles following the success of the Grand Vitara, Franks, and Jimny. It will introduce at least four vehicles the next year, or in 2024; these will consist of two SUVs (one electric), a hatchback, and a small sedan. Allow us to explain these four to you.
New Dzire and Swift
Maruti Suzuki is preparing to introduce the next generation of Desire subcompact car and Swift hatchback. These two may hit the market in February or April of 2024. The brand’s newest 1.2L, 3-cylinder Z12E petrol engine coupled to a CVT transmission is anticipated to power both cars. The new Swift’s global model has a hybrid drivetrain as an option. It is also possible to introduce non-hybrid and hybrid choices here. These also show advances to light design.
Maruti Suzuki SUV with seven seats
A brand-new, high-end SUV with seven seats may also arrive. Maruti Suzuki hasn’t formally revealed this, though. However, based on media rumors, it might introduce a 7-seater premium SUV based on the Grand Vitara SUV in the second half of 2024. It might have the Grand Vitara’s platform, features, and engine. The 1.5L Atkinson cycle strong hybrid and the 1.5L K15C mild hybrid are possible powertrain options.
eVX Electric Utility Vehicle
For the Indian market, Maruti Suzuki is testing electric SUVs. Based on the eVX idea, a prototype of which was displayed at the 2023 Auto Expo, will be this next electric SUV. It’s going to be constructed on an entirely new skateboard platform. We estimate its length to be about 4.3 meters. It is anticipated to debut during the holiday season of 2024. It has a 500 km or more range.
