Kia is getting ready to join the pick-up truck market. Shortly, the automaker will introduce its first pickup truck. Tasman is the name Kia gave to this pickup vehicle. The many Australian landscapes served as inspiration for the firm while designing this pickup truck. Kia worked with artist Richard Boyd-Dunlop, who is based in New Zealand, to design the pickup truck.
The pickup truck’s design is unique.
Kia’s pickup truck has an appealing look. It has curved components added to it. Its front grille now has five vertical slats fitted. In addition to DRLs, headlights with a vertical stack have been added. All four wheels are alloy and equipped with disc brakes. Kia plans to introduce the first pick-up truck with this special design in the global market.
Will initially launch here
The company has not yet released any details about this pickup truck’s characteristics. However, they have stated that the Tasman would have a diesel engine when it launches. For this model, a 2.2-liter diesel engine is an option. This Kia pickup will be available for purchase in 2025. It is possible to make this pickup truck for left- or right-hand drivers. Kia might first introduce this truck in Australia.
There has been no information
made public about this pickup truck’s Indian debut. By the end of this year, it will be able to introduce the new Carnival MPV and EV9 in India concurrently.
