The Indian National Payments Corporation (NPCI) has made a significant choice. Payments apps such as Google Pay, Paytm, and PhonePe, along with banks, have been requested by NPCI to deactivate UPI IDs and numbers that have not been used for over a year. In other words, if you haven’t completed any transactions with your UPI ID in the last year, then your UPI ID will be closed on 31st December 2023.
