TRAI: Every day, five to ten unsolicited calls and messages are received by smartphone users. These can occasionally cause someone to become agitated. This issue, though, won’t last for very long. Users will now stop receiving unsolicited calls and texts as a result of stringent guidelines that the TRAI has given to all telecom sector operators.
On your Android device, you have the option to manually block a number.
Blocking phone numbers is an internal option in Android. If someone keeps contacting your number, this is a recommended course of action. We’ll walk you through the process using stock Android 11 on a Pixel 4, though your experience may differ slightly based on your device as with all Android walkthroughs. If your gadget lacks all of these features, install the Google Phone app.
Open the Phone app
and navigate to the Recents list to ban a recent caller. Hold down the button and select Block/Report Spam from the menu that appears. If you want to block the number for personal reasons only, you don’t need to tick the Report call as spam box in the results window. Once more, press Block to verify your selection.
