Yogasanas for better sleep

The four yogasanas (Yoga For Better Sleep) are said to be the most effective for achieving restful sleep. By lowering stress, these yoga poses help you unwind mentally and fall asleep more rapidly. You can complete all of these yoga poses in about two to three minutes. Let’s talk about the yoga poses that promote rapid sleep.

Adho Mukha Virasana

Adho Mukha Virasana is a crucial yoga pose that can address sleeplessness. When performing Adhomukha Virasana, maintain a little wide knee position in Vajrasana. Next, maintain a straight neck and waist, look forward, and lower your chest to the floor. Both hands must be extended forward while remaining on the ground. Feel the strain in your spine and waist as you hold this position for two to three minutes. However, remember that the body shouldn’t slant downward.

Janusirsasana

You can also perform Janusirsasana before bed to have a restful sleep. Sit on the bed and extend your right leg forward to perform Janusirsasana. The left sole should therefore remain close to the right thigh or pelvis. The lower portion of the stomach should now be bent toward the right knee and the right toe. With the use of a pillow, you may also perform this yoga pose, which promotes rapid sleep. The cushion can remain between your forehead and right knee. With the other leg, repeat these steps.

Supta Baddha Konasana

You can perform Supta Baddha Konasana before bed to treat insomnia. It aids in relieving your body of tension. To accomplish this, sit on the bed and unite both soles to get the heels as close to you as you can. Place a round pillow behind your waist on the bed now, and then carefully lie down on it. Remember that your eyes should be downward and your chest should be raised upward. You can do this by placing a second pillow beneath the head.

Vajrasana

One of the best yoga poses for falling asleep quickly is vajrasana. Sit on your knees on the bed to accomplish this. Remember to spread your toes backwards and maintain your calves outside your body when you sit. Breathe deeply for two to three minutes while maintaining the waist, neck, and chest facing forward in Vajrasana. You can place a cushion (round pillow) between your calves and hips if you are having problems sitting like this.
