BSSC 2025: Apply for Bihar Sub-Statistical Officer from April 1

In Bihar, 682 positions as Sub-Statistical Officers and Block Statistical Officers are up for recruitment. The notification’s specifications indicate that the application process for this position will open on April 1. To participate in this recruiting, candidates who have completed graduation coursework in any of the following subjects—such as statistics, mathematics, or economics—can complete the online application.

Recruitment for the positions of Junior Statistical Officer and Block Statistical Officer in the state has been declared by the Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) through the issuance of a notification. The statement states that the SSC SSO / BSO Recruitment 2025 application procedure will open on April 1, 2025, and run until April 19, 2025. On these dates, interested candidates and those who meet the requirements for this recruitment can complete the form online by going to the BSSC’s official website, bssc.bihar.gov.in.

Qualifications and Requirements

The candidate must have graduated from an accredited university with a degree in any of the following topics in order to apply for the position of Junior Statistical Officer or Block Statistical Officer. Candidates may also apply for this position if they have a graduation degree with a supplementary subject or a graduation degree in these topics as a pass course.

Maximum Age

Candidates must be at least 21 years old to be considered for this recruitment. The maximum age is 37 years old for unreserved men, 40 years old for OBC (women and men), 42 years old for SC/ST (men and women), and 37 years old for unreserved women. Candidates with disabilities in all categories will receive a ten-year age relaxation based on their category.

Fees and the application process

Applicants may only complete the online form to participate in this recruitment by going to the official website, bssc.bihar.gov.in. We will not accept applications of any other kind. Candidates must deposit the appropriate fee based on their category in addition to completing the form.

A fee of Rs 540 must be paid by male applicants in the general category, backward class, and extremely backward class, as well as candidates in all other categories in the state of Bihar. The cost has been set at Rs 135 for SC/ST (for Bihar permanent residents), other Divyang categories (same as SC/ST), and women of all categories (for Bihar permanent residents alone).

Candidates must pass a written exam to be chosen for this job. The written exam weights 75 points. There will be a 25% weighting for working under a contract. (5 points) with a maximum of 25 points each working year.
