According to the revised schedule, the train will ascend to Mangaluru and arrive there at 6:00 p.m. A similar extension will be made to the Mangaluru-Goa route, which currently departs at 8:30 am and arrives in Goa at 1:10 pm, to Mumbai, arriving at 9:00 pm.

With fewer than 40% of passengers, the Mangaluru-Goa Vande Bharat is one among the least traveled routes. The railways first suggested expanding the service to Kozhikode in order to address this. However, Karnataka political leaders’ opposition led to the idea’s abandonment. The current travel time for the Mangaluru-Goa Vande Bharat is approximately four and a half hours.
