Tallest Rail Bridge Launch & Vande Bharat on 19th

On January 25, the train’s testing run on the Katra–Srinagar route was completed successfully. The train departed Katra at 8 a.m. and arrived in Srinagar, Kashmir’s final station, at 11 a.m.

On April 19, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to travel to Jammu & Kashmir. He will first officially open the Chenab Bridge, the tallest railway bridge in the world, at Udhampur. He would depart on the Jammu-Srinagar Vande Bharat Express train after arriving at Katra (Mata Vaishno Devi).

According to Union Minister Jitendra Singh, the train service is being temporarily resumed from Katra because repairs are currently being made at the Jammu railway station. Once the repairs are finished, the train will begin service from Jammu in August. Almost 250 kilometers separate Jammu and Srinagar.

Katra-Srinagar route underwent a successful trial

On January 25, the Katra-Srinagar route underwent a successful trial. At 8 a.m., the train departed Katra and arrived in Srinagar at 11 a.m. In three hours, the train traveled 160 kilometers.

There are anti-freezing features on this Vande Bharat. Anti-freezing elements are a distinctive feature of the Jammu-Srinagar Vande Bharat train. Trains on this vital line will operate day and night all year round thanks to the snow-clearing train that runs ahead of passenger and freight trains.

Water tanks and bio-toilets won’t freeze thanks to the train’s heating system. Even in below-freezing temperatures, the driver’s windshield and air brakes will function. This will guarantee connectivity between the two locations under any weather conditions. Because the region is located in Zone-V for earthquakes, the railways have employed vibration-resistant seismic equipment in this project.

The train has been updated with numerous new features.

Additionally, heaters have been added to the train’s restrooms.

Additionally, Vande Bharat’s driver cabin has been upgraded.

The train’s water tank now has silicon heating pads fitted.
