RBI On ATM Dispense: The banking authority stated in its ruling on the two notes that it should be complied with and put into effect right away.
RBI On Dispensing ATMs: The Reserve Bank of India has issued a significant directive to all banks pertaining to 100 and 200 rupees. As a result, the banks are in a state of panic. In its circular pertaining to both notes, the banking regulator stated that its directive should be adhered to and put into effect as quickly as feasible. Let’s now discuss what the RBI stated in its directive to the banks.

The RBI requested in a circular released on Monday that all banks in the nation make sure that ATMs print enough Rs 100 and Rs 200 notes to maintain their supply in the market. White Label ATM Operators (WLAOs) and banks have been asked to gradually adopt this RBI rule.
It is important to note that white label ATMs are those run by non-banking organizations. In addition, the RBI stated in its circular that the bank must make sure that by September 30, 2025, at least one cassette in 75% of the nation’s ATMs should dispense 100 or 200 rupee notes. Following this, 90 percent of the nation’s ATMs should have at least one cassette that dispenses 100 or 200 rupee notes by March 31, 2026.

According to the central bank, this is required to make these notes more widely available. This directive must be implemented gradually by banks and White Label ATM Operators (WLAO). In a circular, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) stated: “All banks and White Label ATM Operators (WLAO) have agreed to make sure that their ATMs regularly dispense Rs 100 and Rs 200 notes to expand the public’s access to frequently used denomination bank notes.
