Mark Gurman of Bloomberg provided some information on the iPhone’s 20th anniversary. According to reports, this gadget will have a brand-new or distinctive appearance, although the iPhone 19 series will retain its more modern or outdated style. According to a recent report by the Korean website ET News, which cited supply chain sources, additional information about the design of this anniversary edition iPhone has been revealed.
Mark Gurman of Bloomberg previously provided us with some potential information regarding the next iPhone model, which is presently known as the 20th Anniversary iPhone. It was previously stated that this gadget would have a brand-new or distinctive design, whilst the iPhone 19 series would have a somewhat more modern or older design. This approach will be comparable to what Apple did with the iPhone X, which was released after the iPhone’s tenth anniversary. Following the first details, additional information has been obtained from a different source, providing a clearer picture of the future iPhone’s design.
According to reports, Apple is developing a display with curved edges on all four sides or one that bends. It appears to be a standard quad-curved display panel, which is currently found in a lot of mid-range and low-end Chinese handsets. This panel will have more aggressively curved sides and a screen. The display will appear bezel-less when viewed from the front, meaning that the bezels will be buried or visible after the sides’ curvature, which is only apparent when viewed from the sides.

This supports a previous story that claimed the phone would have “heavy use of glass” and resemble a slab of glass without any discernible bezels. According to the source, Apple will meet with LG and Samsung to build this panel.
The report’s second detail concerns the under-display camera (UDC). This technology has been incorporated into the cellphones of Samsung and a few Chinese companies. But for Apple, which insists on a capsule-shaped hollow in the display for its Face ID identification, this technology is crucial.
Additionally, Apple branded it the Dynamic Island and developed software features around it. Dynamic Island, which debuted with the iPhone 14 Pro, is available on all iPhone models except the newly released iPhone 16e. When necessary, Face ID sensors can look between pixels thanks to the under-display camera, which conceals the camera beneath the screen.
The usage of solid-state batteries is the third detail in the study. Smartphones that use solid-state batteries are still in the early stages of development. In contrast to the liquid electrolyte used in widely accessible lithium-ion batteries, this method uses a solid electrolyte. This contrasts with the silicon-carbon technique, which, at the moment, offers greater capacity and makes use of non-graphite anodes for quicker and more secure charging.
According to the paper, using pure silicon will boost energy density, allowing batteries to hold more charge and extending their lifespan.
