Samsung tri-fold phone name and launch date leaked

By the end of 2025, Samsung is expected to release its first tri-fold smartphone. According to earlier rumors, this phone might be called the Samsung Galaxy G Fold. But according to a recent leak, this phone might have a different name. The potential launch schedule is also mentioned in the leak.

It was previously said to be called the Samsung Galaxy G Fold, but the latest leak suggests that it might have a different name. When the phone is unfolded, its 9.96-inch screen will be visible, and a silicon-carbon battery may be included. A different leak also mentions its launch date.

Journalist Max Jambor (@MaxJmb) claims that Samsung may decide to call its first foldable smartphone with three screens the Galaxy Z TriFold. This implies that rather than introducing a new Galaxy G series, the company will add it to the current Galaxy Z lineup.

According to a Weibo tweet by tipster Ice Universe, Samsung’s triple-screen smartphone will make its debut in October. According to the leak, Huawei’s Mate XT Ultimate Design replacement will go on sale in September.

Samsung’s tri-fold smartphone specifications

By the end of this year, Samsung plans to introduce a tri-fold smartphone, according to TM Roh, the company’s mobile boss. The device is being readied for mass manufacture under the codename Q7M. There will be a limited edition of this phone, model number SM-F968.

When unfurled, the forthcoming tri-fold smartphone is anticipated to have a 9.96-inch display. When folded, it may provide a 6.54-inch display. It is rumored to have a silicon-carbon battery and a Snapdragon 8 Elite CPU. It will have a flat body and three cameras. The phone can capture 30 frames per second, 8K video.

Similar to the recently released Tecno Phantom Ultimate G Fold Concept tri-fold phone, Samsung’s tri-fold phone might also have an inward-folding hinge and a G-style design. The Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design, the only tri-fold phone available on the market at the moment, will be its rival.

This multi-folding phone was hinted at by Samsung at the January Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event. It was previously anticipated to make its debut alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 during the second Galaxy Unpacked event. It is currently anticipated to be launched by the end of this year, as this did not occur.
