UP LT Grade Teacher Jobs: Starting today, applications will be accepted for 7466 LT grade teacher positions in Uttar Pradesh. For the first time, there will be both preliminary and main exams used in the selection process.

UP LT Grade Teacher: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) is currently accepting applications for 7466 LT Grade Teacher positions. Fifteen diverse subjects are being recruited. Candidates who are interested may apply starting today, July 28, by going to the official website at https://uppsc.up.nic.in. Selection will be based on the main exam following the preliminary (objective) exam for the first time in this recruitment procedure.

Under the LT Grade Teacher Recruitment 2025, 7466 positions have been announced, of which 4860 are designated for male candidates, 2525 for female candidates, and 81 for the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. There will be fifteen subjects for this recruitment. The Commission has made it clear that depending on the needs and conditions, the number of postings may go up or down.

Eligibility & Age Limit

A applicant must be at least 21 years old and no older than 40 on July 1, 2025, in order to be considered for the recruitment. In other words, the candidate must have been born after July 1, 2004, and before July 2, 1985. The reserved categories will also receive relaxation within the legally mandated age range.

OTR is required; unregistered applications are not accepted.

Before the application procedure starts, candidates should finish their One Time Registration (OTR), according to the Commission Secretary. The Commission will only accept proposals that are founded on OTR. Candidates’ applications will not be approved if they do not have an OTR number.

In March 2018, the commission had previously published a call for LT grade instructors for 10768 positions across 15 disciplines. However, there was a dispute over eligibility in a number of topics during that recruiting, which caused the selection process to stall for a while. In order to make the procedure more transparent and gradual, the commission has this time introduced both preliminary and primary examination.
