Naval Dockyard Recruitment: Bumper Vacancy Announced

The Indian Navy is now accepting applications for apprentice positions at the Naval Dockyard in Mumbai. Candidates who passed the ITI may apply for the October 2025 exam.

For young people who aspire to work at Mumbai’s Naval Dockyard, there is excellent news. The Indian Navy is now accepting applications for a number of apprentice positions. The job publication for August 23–29 recently released the notice of this recruitment. Online applications are accepted via the official Indian Navy website, indiannavy.nic.in. The unique aspect is that the written test for this position will only be administered in Mumbai, and the exam date has been set for October 2025.

This recruitment effort will be used to fill 286 positions. There will be no application fee for candidates. Candidates can use the instructions provided here to apply for this position.

Who is eligible to apply?

Only applicants who have completed ITI (NCVT/SCVT) in the relevant trade from an accredited institution are eligible to apply for this position. Additionally, the candidate must pass in the eighth or tenth grade.

Maximum Age

Apprenticeship training requires a minimum age of 14 years old. The fact that there is no upper age limit is a plus. This implies that, if qualified, those who are older may also apply.

Pay

Pay will be paid in accordance with the Apprentice Act. In other words, the chosen applicants will receive a monthly stipend in accordance with the guidelines.

Procedure for Selection

Three steps will comprise the hiring procedure for these positions. Written examination comes first, followed by document verification and medical examination. The candidates won’t be chosen till after this.

Pattern of the Exam

The written test will have a total score of 100 and be based on OMR. It will only ask questions of an objective nature. The test consists of 30 points for general knowledge, 35 points for science, and 35 points for math. The exam will take two hours to complete. The good news is that providing incorrect answers won’t result in a mark deduction. To make it easier for all candidates to grasp, the question paper will be provided in both Hindi and English.

Step 3: You will then receive your password and login ID.

Step 4: After that, you must log in and complete the application.

Step 5: During the application process, the appropriate documents must be uploaded.

Step 6: Candidates should save a printout of the application form after submitting it.
