According to the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) holiday calendar, banks will be closed for a total of 21 days in October, with the remaining days being weekends. You should be aware, though, that not all states or regions will experience a 21-day bank closure. This is the total number of days that state-observed holidays will cause banks across the nation to close.

For instance, bank branches may close in Assam for Kati Bihu but remain open in other states.

The Reserve Bank of India categorizes its holidays into three groups: Banks’ Closing of Accounts Holiday, Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act, and Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act and Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday. • October 27 is Chath Puja (Evening Puja).

In addition to the aforementioned bank holidays, the following dates fall on the second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays of the month:
