Good News: New rates of electricity will be implemented in UP from today, the bill will be reduced

Reduction in UP electricity prices: The new electricity rates in Uttar Pradesh have come into effect from today. Now for spending more than 300 units of electricity, a maximum of six and a half rupees will have to be paid per unit. The slab of Rs 7 has been removed by the government. At the same time, household electricity will cost a maximum of Rs 6.50 per unit.

Domestic consumers of Uttar Pradesh are going to get big relief. The new electricity rates announced by the Uttar Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission on July 23 have come into effect from today. The good news is that the electricity bill of domestic consumers using less than 100 units and more than 500 units of electricity will come down.

According to the new rates, for spending more than 300 units of electricity, a maximum charge of Rs 6.50 per unit will have to be paid. The slab of Rs 7 has been removed by the government. At the same time, household electricity will cost a maximum of Rs 6.50 per unit.

Greater Noida’s electricity costs have decreased by almost 10%. Domestic power would cost a maximum of Rs 6.50 per unit.

According to the new rates, for consumption of more than 300 units of electricity, a maximum rate of Rs 6.50 will be charged. Electricity from 151 to 300 units will be available at the rate of Rs 6, 101 to 150 units at the rate of Rs 5.50 per unit. Residential BPL electricity will be priced at Rs 3 per unit. BPL families will now have to pay only Rs 3 per unit bill for 100 units. Earlier it was Rs 3.35.

Let us inform you that the UP Electricity Regulatory Commission has given a big relief to 1.20 crore poor consumers of the state by reducing the number of electricity bills.
