Before the approach of Typhoon Noru, China’s National Meteorological Center issued a yellow alert. On Monday morning, it arrived in the central and eastern regions of the South China Sea after killing numerous people in the Philippines.

In Hainan Province, the Meteorological Department has issued a Level 3 alert. To be cautious, the concerned departments have been told. Strong winds are predicted to blow around the coastal regions in western and northern Hainan, as well as along the eastern and southern beaches of Hainan Island. Gusty winds of 75 to 88 kilometres per hour are anticipated across the western parts of Taiwan Island, including the coastal regions of Fujian province in east China, Guangdong province in south China, and Hainan province in north China.

Hainan province is expected to receive 250 to 350 mm of rain. In some places, 450 millimetres of rain are possible. Water has been discharged in advance to boost the storage capacity of small and medium-sized reservoirs. so that waterlogging and flooding after a strong rainstorm can be prevented. Access to the shore has been denied to fishermen. Typhoon Noru is capable of wreaking havoc. China is making active preparations to address the threats. Although the storm’s effects cannot be completely prevented, their damage can undoubtedly be minimised.
