Holders of ration cards in the colors pink and yellow have been mandated to make the payment on behalf of the State Food Commission of Kerala. These funds will be distributed to cardholders who were unable to purchase ration products in April due to a server error with the E-PoS system.
2.66 lakh cardholders were unable to receive rations.
Official statistics show that in April, 2.66 lakh pink and yellow card holders were unable to receive rations. According to the commission’s directive, ration card holders who were unable to receive their ration owing to a server issue will receive a food allowance. In accordance with the National Food Safety Act (NFSA), food allotment is computed. It is 1.25 times the ratio’s minimal price.

Similarly, rations were sent to 39.65 lakh card members in February and 39.57 lakhs in March. Five days in April saw no ration distribution because of a problem with the E-PoS system.
