In June 2023, banks will be closed for twelve days, including weekends, according to the Reserve Bank of India’s holiday schedule. Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays are included in these holidays. Holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act, Holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act and Real-Time Gross Settlement Holidays, and Banks’ Closing of Accounts are the three categories under which the holidays fall according to the central bank. These bank holidays vary from state to state. On the second and fourth Saturdays of every month, banks are closed. Banks were closed for a total of twelve days in May as well, including the second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays. Banks are open all day on other Saturdays. Banks are still closed on Sundays across the nation.

- Ratha Yatra/Kang (Rathajatra) – Bhubaneswar, Imphal on June 20
- Kharchi Puja on June 26 in Agartala
- Belapur, Jammu, Kochi, Mumbai, Nagpur, Srinagar, and Thiruvananthapuram will celebrate Bakri Eid (Eid-Ul-Zuha) on June 28.
