Bank Holidays List: Banks will be closed for 12 days in September, check the complete list before leaving home

Bank Holidays in September 2021: There is good news for those working in the banking sector. According to the holiday calendar of RBI, banks are going to be closed for a total of 12 days in the month of September.

The coming month will be full of holidays for the employees working in the banking sector. Bank employees will be able to enjoy up to 12 holidays in the month of September. In such a situation, if any work related to your bank is pending and deal with it quickly. Otherwise, you may have to face trouble.

There will be 12 bank holidays in September

According to the list released by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), a total of 7 bank holidays are falling in September. By the way, the effect of these holidays does not have the same effect on the whole of India. Some of these states also have special holidays. Apart from this, banks will get a total of 6 weekly closures in September. Despite this, the total number of holidays is 12 because a weekly holiday is falling on a bank holiday.

9 September – Teej Haritalika (Gangtok)

10 September – Ganesh Chaturthi/Samvatsari (Chaturthi Paksha)/Vinayaka Chaturthi/Varasiddhi Vinayaka Vrat (Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji)

11 September – 2nd Saturday of the month / Ganesh Chaturthi 2nd day (Panaji)

12 September – Sunday

17 September – Karma Puja (Ranchi)

19 September – Sunday

20 September – Indrajatra (Gangtok)

21 September – Shree Narayana Guru Samadhi Day (Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram)

25 September – Fourth Saturday of the month

26 September –  Sunday

Online banking will not be interrupted

However, during this time the functioning of online banking will not be affected. This means that customers will not face any problems in digital banking. They will be able to transfer funds etc. as usual.
