The government works tirelessly to boost farmers’ incomes and offer them financial assistance. It is now anticipated that the government will give the farmers a gift and raise the MSP by ten percent in this episode. This is being done to increase urad and toor dal output by the government. It is said by sources that this can lead to a 5–7% rise in sunflower and soybean oil. At the cabinet meeting tomorrow night, a decision can be made on this.
The June 19 cabinet meeting is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m.
We would like to inform you that the Modi 3.0 cabinet meeting is scheduled for June 19 at 5:00 p.m. The MSP may be discussed in the CCEA meeting revision of 14 crops. During the meeting, a proposal to increase the MSP of Kharif crops is expected to be discussed to increase the production of pulses by up to 10%. CACP has submitted its recommendation to the government. This year, the government can also announce a bonus.
The decline in pulse production is cause for concern.
The government has been advised by CACP that there is cause for concern regarding the decline in toor and urad dal production. In the upcoming year, paddy prices could rise by four to five percent. The MSP for 14 crops, including paddy, is set by the government. Let us inform you that the government announces the MSP for 23 crops each year based on the Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices (CACP) recommendation. The Ministry of Agriculture oversees the CACP commission, which makes recommendations for the MSP of 23 crops.
Which crops fall within CACP’s purview?
Among the crops that CACP covers are seven grains, five pulses, seven oilseeds, and four commercial crops. Apart from maize, jawar, bajra, paddy, wheat, barley, and ragi, the cereals include moong, arhar, gram, urad, and lentils, and the five pulses include soybean, sesame, sunflower, safflower, groundnut, rapeseed-mustard and niger seed, and the seven oilseeds include four commercial crops like cotton, copra, sugarcane and raw jute. The government has created an impenetrable strategy to curb the escalating cost of pulses. The concerned department’s officials assert that three pulses will soon become less expensive. The price of pulses like tur, chana, and urad dal will decrease. According to the government, there are currently a lot of these policies in place, which will lower the cost of these three pulses.
