Know the easy process to get an RC Transfer

Whenever someone sells or buys an old vehicle, it is considered a hassle to transfer the RC in front of him. Unless the ownership of that vehicle is in the name of the buyer, then legally he is not considered to be the owner of that vehicle.

Whenever we buy or sell an old vehicle, we have to face a lot of difficulties in transferring the registration at that time ( RC Transfer ). Many times one has to go round the RTO office, one has to go through many gimmicky actions. But this is also a necessary process. Transferring RC is an important task for both (buyer and seller).

Why is RC Transfer Necessary?

Let you go that Used Vehicles ( Second Hand Vehicle ) would reasonably necessary to transfer the RC after the purchase on your name and address as long as ownership of the vehicle is not on your name, then legally you The owner of that vehicle is not considered. 

RC transfer must be done within 14 days

The seller of any vehicle is required to get its RC transferred within 14 days. For this, you have to apply in your RTO. In which some papers are required. It is necessary to have the original copy of RC in these papers. Apart from this, you will have to fill Form 29, in which it is necessary to have the passport size photograph of the buyer and the signature of the buyer. This form is easily available on the RTO website, which you can download and submit to the RTO. After this, the RC is transferred and sent to the new address within 30 days. But in case of transfer of vehicle from one state to another, Form 28 is used which may take more than 30 days.

Online way to transfer RC

To transfer RC, one has to first go to the website of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Parivahan.gov.in. After this, the user will have to create an account by giving information like name, mobile number, email id, etc. After creating the account, the user has to click on Online Service. After that click on Vehicle Related service. After this process, an application form will open, there OTP will have to be made by entering the vehicle’s registration number, chassis number. 

This OTP will come on the mobile number of the user. After entering the OTP, a new page will open, and here you have to click on Transfer of Ownership. After that click on submit button here. After submitting a new form will open. There the user will have to give registration and vehicle information. After this process, the form has to be submitted. After this, the date of appointment will have to be taken from the RTO office. After this, the relevant documents will have to be taken to the RTO office. Along with this, fees will also have to be deposited. Some forms are given from RTO. These forms also have to be signed by the buyer of the vehicle and submitted to the RTO. After this process, the RC is transferred in the name of the buyer of the vehicle.
