Ola has announced that it is all set to offer its customers a test ride of its S1 and S1 pro electric scooters post-Diwali. The Chennai-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer has said that the electric scooters will be available for test rides from November 10.
Will be able to book again
Ola Electric launched its two electric scooters S1 and S1 Pro in the Indian market on August 15 with a starting price of Rs 1 lakh. Its booking was opened for two days after 1 month of the scooter’s launch. According to the company, in just two days, an online business of more than Rs 1100 crore was done. The company had received bookings of Rs 600 crore in the first 24 hours itself. Now the second phase of booking these scooters is going to start on November 1, just before Diwali.
Test drive will start from November 10
Ola Electric said that it is ready to hand over the scooters within a specific delivery window. The company is planning to give the customers a test drive of the Ola e-scooter from November 10. Ola said that the customers who have booked for the e-scooter S1 will be asked by the company to make the full payment only after the test drive.
Delivery was to start from October 25
Ola had earlier planned to take the final payment for its e-scooters S1 and S1 Pro from October 18 and deliver it from October 25. Ola has asked customers to make full payment only after taking a test drive. With this, questions are also being raised about the timely delivery of the booked vehicles. However, the company said that it will carry out all the deliveries on time.
Price
The ex-showroom price of the S1 variant of the Ola electric scooter is Rs 99,999, while the ex-showroom price of the S1 Pro variant is Rs 1,29,999. Apart from this, there are 10 color options to choose from in the Ola electric scooter. The preferred color can be selected during booking and according to the company’s website, the color option of the scooter can be changed later if the customer wants.
Range of 181 kms
The S1 variant of the Ola electric scooter can cover a distance of 121 km on a full charge. At the same time, the S1 Pro can go up to 181 km on a full charge. The Ola S1 model accelerates to 40 kmph in 3.6 seconds. At the same time, the S1 Pro can catch a speed of 40 kmph in just 3 seconds. Its top speed is 115 kmph.
