Xiaomi TV Stick 4K Launches With Google TV

The latest Xiaomi TV Stick 4K (2nd Generation) has been discreetly added to the company’s global website. Along with features like enhanced performance, Dolby Vision HDR10 +, and Google Assistant, this new streaming device now supports Google TV. Currently, no details have been provided regarding its cost or accessibility in India.

Google TV functionality has been added to the Xiaomi TV Stick 4K (2nd Generation), which is now available for purchase online. This item has been discreetly listed on the Chinese tech company’s official worldwide website. Xiaomi has not, however, stated whether or not this new model would be offered in India. In February 2023, Xiaomi’s TV Stick 4K was introduced. The new TV stick’s price has not yet been disclosed by the company.

For comparison, the Xiaomi TV Stick 4K, which retailed for Rs 4,999 and was only available in black, was introduced in India in February 2023.

Being the first TV stick from the firm to support Google TV, the Xiaomi TV Stick 4K (2nd Generation) is unique in that it will run on the Google TV operating system. Xiaomi’s first generation model comes with Android TV 11 and Patch Wall interface.

The Xiaomi TV Stick 4K (2nd Generation) will provide customers with curated recommendations, search capabilities for over 10,000 apps, and access to hundreds of free channels through Google TV. Additionally, Google Assistant will be included, enabling voice commands for content searches. The TV stick’s remote control will also have a special button for turning on Google Assistant. Additionally, Google Cast will be available, enabling customers to stream media straight from their tablets and smartphones.

As the name implies, this new TV stick will support Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and 4K quality output. The Xiaomi TV Stick 4K (2nd Generation) will come with an ARM G310 V2 GPU and a quad-core Cortex-A55 CPU, along with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. According to Xiaomi, it will outperform the previous model by 150% in terms of GPU and 80% in terms of CPU.

It will come with pre-installed apps like YouTube, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video in addition to Xiaomi TV+, which will provide users with free access to live channels featuring entertainment, movies, news, and reality shows. It will support Dolby Atmos and DTS HD for audio. Regarding the remote, the Xiaomi TV Stick 4K (2nd Generation) will offer a 360-degree Bluetooth voice control, enabling users to operate the TV from various perspectives, according to the company’s website.

It will be equipped with an HDMI port, a micro USB port, Bluetooth 5.2, and dual-band Wi-Fi 6. Xiaomi claims that it is easy to carry around due to its small size and portability. It measures 107.4x30x14 mm and weighs 44 grams.
