Official dates for the Staff Selection Commission’s (SSC) 2025 Stenographer Grades ‘C’ and ‘D’ Exam and the Combined Hindi Translator Exam (Paper-1) have been released. By going to the Staff Selection Commission’s official website at ssc.gov.in, all applicants can view or download comprehensive exam-related information and notices.

Exam for Combined Hindi Translators on August 12

The Commission’s timetable indicates that the stenographer exam will take place on August 6, 7, and 8, 2025. On August 12, 2025, the Combined Hindi Translator Exam 2025 (Paper-I) will also take place.

What number of positions are being filled?

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will hire 261 candidates for the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ Exam 2025. Different transcribing periods have been set for this recruitment procedure; Group D will receive 50 minutes in English and 65 minutes in Hindi, while Group C will receive 40 minutes in English and 55 minutes in Hindi.

In addition, 437 positions will be filled through the 2025 Combined Hindi Translator Exam. Junior Hindi Translator (JHT), Junior Translation Officer (JTO), Senior Translator, and Sub-Inspector as Hindi Translator in Central Forces are among the significant positions for which this recruitment comprises appointments.

Exam Pattern for SSC Stenographer 2025: Exam Pattern

The 200 multiple-choice questions on the computer-based test will cover three major topics: English language and comprehension, general awareness, and general intelligence and reasoning. For every right response, one mark will be given, and for every incorrect response, 0.25 marks will be deducted. The test will be administered in both Hindi and English will last for two hours.

Exam Pattern for SSC JHT 2025: Exam Pattern

There will be 100 multiple-choice questions from General Hindi and General English in SSC JHT Paper 1. Following selection, candidates will be invited to participate in Paper 2, a descriptive exam that will evaluate their ability to translate and write essays in both Hindi and English.
