Instagram has rolled out a unique and fun feature for its teenage users (teen accounts). This feature allows users to customize the Instagram icon on their phones. The company says this feature will help young people make the app more personal and expressive.

Six new stylized icons will be available:
This Instagram update adds a total of six different visual styles, including designs like Fire, Floral, Chrome, Cosmic, and Slime. These icons were created by renowned illustrator Carlos Oliveiras Colom and Instagram’s in-house design team.

How to change the Instagram icon:
If you have a Teen Account, you can easily use this feature.
Tap the Instagram logo at the top of the app.
Here you will see a menu from which you can choose different designs.
After selecting the icon of your choice, it will start appearing on the home screen of your phone.

Why was this feature launched?
According to the company, this update is a step towards making Instagram a more creative and safe platform for young users. Through this feature, users can express their personality and mood on their phone’s home screen. Instagram has been focusing on exclusive settings and privacy tools for teenage accounts in recent years, such as screen time reminders, content control, and limits on sensitive posts.
Interestingly, in 2020, during Instagram’s 10th anniversary, the company briefly introduced
the icon change feature. While it was temporary, this time the company has made it permanent and exclusive to teen accounts.
