Schools and theatres will close, while stores will open on an odd-even basis! Today’s meeting of the Chief Ministers

High-Level Meeting in Delhi: During the Covid-19 Crisis: In the High-Level Meeting, CM Kejriwal might discuss the implementation of the Yellow Alert in Delhi. The optimism rate in Delhi has been above 0.5 percent for the past two days.

Today, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will convene a high-level review meeting in the wake of an increase in Coronavirus infections and the threat of a new variety, Omicron (Tuesday). At 12 p.m., an important meeting will be placed at the Delhi Secretariat. This meeting may discuss the implementation of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP).

What is a Graded Response Action Plan, and how does it work?

If GRAP is enforced in Delhi, schools, theatres, and gyms may be closed. Shopping malls and shopping complexes will open on an odd-even basis. The Delhi government passed the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) in July 2021 to deal with the third wave of corona that hit the country after the second wave. When a lockdown occurs in Delhi, GRAP determines when the city will be closed and when it will reopen. Under GRAP, alerts were created at four levels.

In Delhi, a yellow alert could be issued.

On Sunday, there were 290 instances of corona in Delhi, with a 0.55 percent infection incidence. On Monday, 331 new cases of the corona were reported in Delhi, with a 0.68 percent infection incidence. According to the GRAP alert, if the positive rate is 0.5 percent for two days in a row, the Graded Response Action Plan will activate Level-1, or Yellow Alert, in Delhi. If the infection rate is more than 1%, a Level-2 Amber Alert will be issued, a Level-3 Orange Alert will be issued if it is more than 2%, and a Level-4 Red Alert will be issued if it is more than 5%.

Level-1, or Yellow Alert, is issued when the positive rate exceeds 0.5 percent for two days in a row. In a week, 1,500 new cases are registered, and 500 patients require oxygen beds.

What will be open and what will be closed if Yellow Alert is implemented?

Following the introduction of the Yellow Alert in Delhi, construction activities will continue.

– In Delhi government offices, 100 percent of A-grade officers will be required to attend, with the remaining 50% being called.
