The CBSE declared on Thursday that if a student in class 10 or 12 fails to appear for the practical exam due to coronavirus infection, they will be given another chance before June 11th.
According to CBSE Exam Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj, “if any candidate is absent in practical exam due to being Covid positive or if any family member tests positive, the school will conduct practical examination for such candidates at an appropriate time in consultation with regional authority by June 11.”
Practical exams for the two classes began on March 1 and will continue through April, while written exams will take place in May and June.
Published exams will be held in 75 subjects in class 10 and 111 subjects in class 12.
Practical exams are usually held in January, with written exams starting in February and ending in March. The exams have been postponed this session due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The board recently debunked rumors that realistic exams will be postponed. The board has not made any announcements about this, according to a CBSE official.

The CBSE announced earlier this month that board exams in 2021 would be held in written format rather than online.
Changes in the centers
The CBSE has allowed students in classes 10 and 12 to change their examination centers for both practical and theory exams via its official website in light of the pandemic and the various restrictions imposed as a result of it.
“It has been brought to the board’s attention that, as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, students of Classes 10 and 12, along with their families, have relocated to another city or country and are therefore unable to appear in the practical/theory exam from the school/exam center where the students are registered for the board exams,” read a CBSE notification.
“After investigating the issue, CBSE has decided to allow the change in the examination center,” it continued.
However, the feature was only available on the website for a limited time.
