5000 MG Astor booked in minutes, 2021 Stocks are out, Delivery will start soon

MG Motor India started the pre-booking of its mid-size SUV MG Astor on Thursday. Its 5000 units were booked in just a few minutes after the booking started. Know when its delivery will start now. 

The pre-bookings of MG Astor, the country’s first Artificial Intelligence (AI) assistant car, opened on Thursday. The company had started its booking on a token amount of Rs 25,000. After the booking of MG Astor started at 11 am, its 5,000 units were booked in just a few minutes.  

MG Astor will now be available next year

MG Motor has announced to deliver only 5000 units of MG Astor in 2021. In such a situation, now all its units have been booked for 2021 and now it will be available only next year. 

Although the company has started pre-booking MG Astor for 2022. In the market, MG Astor competes with Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun and Renault Duster.

MG Astor deliveries will start soon

The deliveries of MG Astor will start from the first week of November. Due to the ongoing chip crisis around the world, companies are finding it difficult to deliver vehicles on time. But MG Motor India says that it will deliver 5,000 MG Astor by the end of December 2021. 

The company has introduced MG Astor at an initial price of Rs 9.78 lakh. While the maximum ex-showroom price is Rs 16,78,000. It has 2 engine options. The first option is the Brit Dynamic 220 turbo petrol engine and the second is the VTI Tech petrol engine with manual transmission. Its gearbox will be an 8-speed CVT. This engine gives 144Nm of torque and 110ps of power. 

This car is equipped with many modern features. It also has Autonomous Level-2 features along with AI Assistant. Both these features make it the most unique car in the segment.
