Will the amount of PM Awas Yojana increase?

The Jharkhand Legislative Assembly’s Estimates Committee has recommended a budget of four lakh rupees for the construction of dwellings under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the state. On the last day of the Monsoon session, Committee Chairman Deepak Birua put the Estimates Committee report on the House Table. Every item’s price has increased, according to JMM MLA Deepak Birua. In fact, the cost of dwellings being built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in rural regions has grown due to the inflation of sand, cement, rods, bricks, and ballast.

Requests to the federal and state governments

BPL families, according to Birua, are unable to contribute between 50,000 and one lakh rupees. In this situation, the cost of houses created under the PM Awas Yojana, which is run with the assistance of the Central and State Governments, should be increased from Rs 1.20 lakh to Rs 4 lakh, so that houses can be built practically and people come forward to apply. Simultaneously, he stated that the state administration may consider boosting the state portion. MLAs Baidyanath Ram, Narayan Das, Lambodar Mahto, and Amba Prasad served on the Estimates Committee.
