India could be out of T20 World Cup if they lose to New Zealand? Know the scenario

India will have to win the next match against New Zealand at any cost to stay in the tournament and keep their luck in their own hands. After Pakistan, if India also gets a defeat against New Zealand, then it may face the danger of being out of the T20 World Cup.

Dubai: India suffered a one-sided defeat against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup match played on Sunday. The Indian team led by Virat Kohli was defeated by Pakistan by 10 wickets. With this crushing defeat, the difficulties of Team India have increased. India’s next match is against New Zealand on 31 October. If Team India is defeated in this match too, then it may face the danger of being out of the tournament.

India must win against New Zealand

India will have to win the next match against New Zealand at any cost to stay in the tournament and keep their luck in their own hands. After Pakistan, if India also gets a defeat against New Zealand, then it may face the danger of being out of the T20 World Cup. In the event of a loss to Pakistan and New Zealand, India will have to win their next three matches against Afghanistan, Scotland, and Namibia to stay in the T20 World Cup, as well as rely on the results of other teams’ victories and defeats.

Pakistan and New Zealand must lose 2-2 matches 

To make it to the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup, India will have to be in the top 2. Suppose after Pakistan, if India also gets a defeat against New Zealand, then it will have to pray that like him, a big team either Pakistan or New Zealand loses at least two matches. Despite this, India will have to win their next remaining 3 matches keeping in mind the good run rate. In such a situation, despite losing 2 matches, India can get a life. If India has to reach the semi-finals, then it is necessary for a big team between Pakistan and New Zealand to be out of the race for the semi-finals. This also applies to Afghanistan.

Be careful with small teams

Afghanistan’s team may not be able to travel to the semi-finals, but they can spoil the game of a big team like India, Pakistan, or New Zealand. In such a situation, the Indian team will have to be alert at all times. In the event of losing to Pakistan and New Zealand, India will have to be even more careful with smaller teams, especially Afghanistan. Afghanistan can beat big teams. In the 2019 World Cup too, India was saved from losing to Afghanistan. 

Mujeeb and Rashid threaten India

On Monday, Afghanistan beat Scotland by a huge margin of 130 runs. Team India is to play an important match against Afghanistan on 3 November at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Virat Kohli’s team is trying to win every match after the defeat against Pakistan so that the way to the semi-finals can be cleared. In the match against Scotland, Mujeeb ur Rahman gave 20 runs in 4 overs at an economy rate of 5 for Afghanistan and 5 batsmen showed the way to the pavilion. At the same time, star spinner Rashid Khan took 4 wickets in 2.2 overs at an economy rate of 3.85.
