Omicron, a new variant of the coronavirus, has spread in 12 states of India. Maharashtra currently has the highest number of 54 cases of Omicron. 22 in Delhi, 20 in Telangana, 17 in Rajasthan, 14 in Karnataka, 9 in Gujarat, 11 in Kerala, 2 in Uttar Pradesh, one each in Andhra Pradesh, Chandigarh, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal. In this way, the number of people affected by Omicron in India has gone up to 153.
Worryingly, in India, Omicron is affecting even those who have completed their vaccinations. Apart from this, people without any travel history are also getting infected here. However, it is a matter of relief that none of Omicron’s cases have become serious.
