Tea and Pakoras in Rainy Season Harm Health

Monsoon Diet Errors: While tea and pakoras may be tasty during the monsoon, consuming too much of them might be bad for your health.

Mistakes in the Monsoon Diet: Everybody is delighted by the sight of the raindrops, the refreshing breeze from the window, a cup of hot tea, and crispy pakoras. The rainy season turns into a pakora and tea festival. However, have you ever considered that the “bitter truth” about your health could be concealed behind this delicious treat? This fried mixture can be harmful to the body from the inside out, even though it tastes good in the rain. Tell us why consuming too much tea and pakoras during the monsoon season can be harmful to your health.

Monsoon Diet Errors

Impacts on the digestive tract

During the monsoon, our digestive systems deteriorate. Pakoras and other deep-fried foods are heavy and hard to digest. Indigestion, gas, stomach pain, and acidity are some of the issues that may result from this.

Acidity and dehydration

Dehydration can result from the caffeine in tea lowering the body’s water content. Additionally, consuming tea regularly or on an empty stomach can raise acidity, which is particularly problematic during the rainy season.

Chowder fried with oil

Pakoras are frequently fried in the same oil at home, which raises the amount of trans fats in them. By raising the body’s cholesterol levels, these trans fats raise the risk of heart disease.

Infection risk

During the rainy season, the humidity causes bacteria and fungi to develop quickly. Food poisoning, diarrhea, and other diseases can result from eating pakoras that have been fried in the open or by the side of the road.

Monsoon Diet Errors

Lethargy and weight increase

Rich in fat and carbs, pakodas cause the body to retain fat, which causes weight gain and a lethargic feeling. Tea with too much sugar also makes you gain weight.

What can be substituted for tea?

Instead of chai, choose herbal or green tea.

Snacks can be grilled or air-fried rather than deep-fried.

Consume nutritious snacks like moong dal, roasted chana, or seasonal fruits.
