The Indian Air Force has released the official recruiting notice for IAF Airman Group-Y. However, the number of Airman Group Y positions has not yet been announced by the Indian Air Force. You can apply for the position of Airman Group-Y starting on July 11 if serving in the Indian Air Force is also your dream. Additionally, July 31, 2025, has been set as the deadline for applications for these positions. You will soon be able to apply for this position by going to the official website, airmenselection.cdac.in.

Required Qualifications
The candidate must have received at least 50% of the possible points in physics, chemistry, biology, and English in class XII from an accredited Indian board in order to be considered for this position. In addition, the candidate needs to have earned at least 50% in their pharmacy diploma or bachelor’s degree.
Salary range
The chosen applicants would receive a stipend of Rs 14,600 per month during the program. In addition, the candidates would receive a monthly military service pay scale of Rs 26,900 upon completion of the training period.
Qualification for Physical Standards
You must meet the Indian Air Force’s weight, height, and age requirements in order to apply for the position of airman. In addition, a minimum chest circumference of 77 cm is required. Additionally, the individual should have normal hearing. Candidates should be able to hear even a whisper from six meters away thanks to their hearing strength.

The selecting process will be carried out as follows:
Candidates must pass a written exam in order to be considered for a position as an airman in the Indian Air Force. English, reasoning, and general awareness questions at the XII course level will be asked to the students in the written exam. This test has a set duration of forty-five minutes. One mark will be deducted for each right response, and one-fourth of a mark will be deducted for each incorrect response on the test.
Application Cost
Candidates must also pay the costs online in order to sit for the Indian Air Force’s (IAF) Airmen Group-Y recruiting exam. The cost of the online application is Rs 550.
