EPFO Alert: Important PF Account Information! EPFO has issued an alert, warning that if nothing is done, there will be significant losses.

EPFO Warning: EPFO has sent out a warning to PF account holders. EPFO stated this in a tweet. Never asks users to share personal information such as Aadhaar, PAN, UAN, Bank Account, or OTP over the phone or over social media.

EPFO (Employees’ Provident Fund Organization) has sent out an alert to all subscribers. EPFO has instructed all of its members not to disclose any account-related information on social media, even if it is by accident. As a result, account holders may become victims of large-scale fraud.

Fraudsters can steal money from your EPF account if they have access to your account’s information.

EPFO has stated that it never requests Aadhaar, PAN, UAN, or bank account information from its members. If someone requests such information over the phone or on social media, be cautious and do not give it out. Do not answer or respond to such phony phone calls or text messages.

EPFO provided details.

‘Never ask its members to share personal details like Aadhaar, PAN, UAN, Bank Account or OTP through phone or social media,’ EPFO wrote in a tweet, issuing an alert to all its users. EPFO goes on to state that it never asks for money to be sent via WhatsApp, social media, or other similar platforms in exchange for any service.

Phishing is a type of online fraud.

It’s worth emphasising that people’s large earnings are placed in their PF accounts, which they use to save for retirement. Fraudsters are fully aware that they would be able to obtain a large sum of money in one stroke if they assault the account via phishing. Actually, phishing is a type of internet fraud in which the depositor is duped, the essential account information is obtained, and the account is then cleared.

This information should never be shared.

PAN numbers, Aadhaar numbers, UAN numbers, and your PF account number should not be accidentally shared in the account’s vital information. Because these are the kinds of details that can lead to your account being emptied. People who leave one job and go to another frequently commit such frauds. In this circumstance, these individuals must file a police report against any phishing call or message that requests your personal information.
