You can now earn more interest by opening a Fixed Deposit (FD) with HDFC Bank. The bank has raised the interest rate on fixed-term deposits. HDFC Bank has raised the interest rate on FDs worth less than Rs 2 crore by 10 basis points. The new rates are in effect as of today, April 6th.
According to the bank’s website, HDFC Bank has raised the one-year FD interest rate from 5% to 5.10%. Aside from that, you will now receive 5.10 percent interest on one-year, one-day to two-year fixed deposits.

The interest rate on savings accounts at Punjab National Bank has been reduced. The Punjab National Bank has reduced the interest rate on its savings accounts. For bank accounts with balances less than Rs 10 lakh, interest rates have been reduced from 2.75 percent to 2.70 percent per annum. On the other hand, you will receive an annual interest rate of 2.75 percent on balances ranging from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 500 crore. It was also reduced by 0.05 percent. The new rates went into effect on April 4, 2022.
