The state administration announced a rebate for consumers who purchase electric bicycles last month.
Subsidies will be provided for 10,000 cycles.

Those who purchase e-carts will receive a 15,000 subsidy.
According to Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot, the Delhi Electric Vehicle (EV) policy will provide a Rs 2,000 additional subsidy to the first 1,000 buyers of e-cycles. That is, the first 1,000 customers will receive a Rs 7500 incentive. The government has also authorized an Rs15,000 incentive for the first 5,000 business buyers of freight e-cycles and e-carts.
Plan to promote electric bicycles
Officials previously stated that the subsidy was paid to individual e-cart purchasers. However, the firm or corporate house purchasing these vehicles will now receive a subsidy of Rs 30,000. The Delhi government intends to promote e-cycles as a means of reducing pollution. Residents of Delhi with Aadhaar cards will receive this subsidy.
