Aadhar card is a crucial piece of paperwork. All of the information in this, including your name, phone number, and address, among other things, must be accurate. People frequently report being unable to update their Aadhaar information when their city or residence changes. While it is not, they think this is a hassle. To update your home address on your Aadhar card, you won’t need to travel anyplace. It can be updated online while you’re at home. You will need to pay 50 rupees for this. How to change your address

  • First, go to myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in, the UIDAI’s official website.
  • You must input your 12-digit Aadhar number in order to log in here. Enter the captcha code after that, then select “Send OTP.”
  • An OTP will then be sent to your registered mobile number.
  • Log in by entering it.
  • Go to the Aadhar Update option right away. Then select “Proceed to Aadhar Update” from the menu.
  • Select the address on the following page, then select “Proceed to Aadhar Update” to continue.
  • Your current address will then be displayed in front of you.
  • The option to update the address will then appear after this.
  • You must enter your new address information here.
  • After that, you must submit a paper with your new address on it.
  • The next step is to tick the two boxes below and then select Next.
  • The payment option will now be visible to you. You can choose whether to pay here with a card, UPI, or net banking.
  • Upon completion of the payment, you will receive a receipt. Your Aadhaar will be updated two days later.

Aadhaar is used by 134 crore people in the country.

Aadhaar cards totaling more than 134 crores were created by the end of July this year. 90% of people in about 26 states and union territories have Aadhaar cards, according to information provided by the ministry.

The Ministry of IT reports that as of July 2022, 1.47 crore people had updated their Aadhar cards. People have enlisted the assistance of Aadhaar centers and online Aadhaar update portals for this. A total of 63.55 crore people have updated their Aadhar card’s demographic and biometric information as of right now, or as of the end of July.
