Country’s most affordable electric vehicle debuts: With a starting price of Rs. 8.49 lakh and a range of 315 kilometres, Tata introduces the Tiago EV.

Today, Tata Motors unveiled the electric version of the Tata Tiago, a well-liked hatchback. It has an initial cost of Rs. 8.49 lakh. This is the least expensive electric vehicle in the nation. A single charge will give this EV a 315 km driving range. Booking for it will begin on October 10th, 2022, and delivery will begin in January of 2023.

With vehicles like the Tata Nexon EV and Tata Tigor EV, the automotive behemoth already dominates the nation’s EV market. India’s first high-end hatchback in the EV market is the Tata Tiago. A DC fast charger will take 57 minutes to charge the Tiago battery to 80% capacity.

The Tiago comes equipped with an eight-speaker system, electric ORVMs, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, push-button start/stop, and many other conveniences. The Tiago EV is allegedly the safest electric hatchback in India. On this EV, the battery and motor warranties will last up to 1,60,000 km.

The Tata Tiago EV will have two driving modes available. This EV can accelerate from 0 to 60 kilometers per hour in 5.7 seconds. 2,000 units of the first 10,000 Tiago EV reservations would be set aside for Tata EV consumers.
