The car has got a 5-star safety rating in the Euro NCAP crash test. This test has been done on both the left-hand drive and right-hand drive versions on its base variant.
How safe is this car?
The BYD Atto 3 electric SUV scored 34.7 out of 38 in this crash test. In this test, the SUV’s deformable offset barrier and full-width rigid barrier provide good protection for the driver and co-passenger. Atto 3 got the highest score on the side effect test. This car has got 89 percent marks on the child protection test.
Safe for pedestrians too
The Atto 3 scored 37.5 out of 72 on the pedestrian test. This car gives good protection to the head and feet of passers-by in a collision. The Autonomous Emergency Braking and Lane Support System found in this car have done very well. In this sense, this car has got 12 marks out of 16.
