Chokher Bali
A film adaptation of the 1903 Rabindranath Tagore novel of the same name explores a layered and unusual love story. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan plays Binodini, a young widow who soon after the death of her husband moves to live with an aunt and her two sons. Mahendra, one of the aunt’s sons, is a married man who begins an affair with her and things start to get complicated.
Shabd
Though the film failed to do well at the box office, this psychological thriller was received positively by fans- thanks to its storyline and stellar performances by the actors. Aishwarya plays Antara, a writer’s wife in Fall, who begins to believe that everything she writes happens in the real world. What started out as a fictional story based on his wife turned out to be his worst nightmare.
Raavanan
Raavanan marks Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s return to Tamil cinema after a decade-long break. To avenge the death of his sister, a Naxalite leader kidnaps the investigating officer’s wife. Aishwarya plays the wife, who makes several attempts to escape while her husband is on the hunt.
