Hyundai has started testing the Grand i10 Nios facelift on Indian roads ahead of a possible launch next year. The test model of a fully covered car was spotted near the company’s production base in Chennai.
The test model of the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios facelift is unlikely to see any major changes as the changes at the front are likely to come in the redesigned bumper. The headlamp shape also appears to be unchanged, while the new boomerang design LED daytime running lamps are visible below. The grille design seems to have been redesigned while a skid plate element is visible on the bumper which suggests that the Hyundai facelift may get some crossover cues.
Changes to the lower part were minimal, while the rear gets a new design for the tail lamps and what appears to be an LED light guide along the upper part. A glimpse of the cabin reveals the design of the dashboard which has been revised to a great extent. Looks unchanged, though Hyundai may update the upholstery color list to match the changed features.
Talking about the engine, the Grand i10 Nios facelift is expected to use the same engine as before. With the 1.2-liter diesel engine now being dropped from the lineup, the hatchback will currently be offered with 1.2-liter petrol, 1.2-liter CNG, and 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engines. The updated Nios will rival the Maruti Suzuki Swift when it hits the market. will give
