A new option of public transport system is going to be available between the cities of Delhi-NCR, especially Gurugram, Rewari, and Alwar. The construction of the Shahjahanpur-Neemrana-Behror (SNB) section of the Rapid Rail Transit System (RRTS) will begin soon. The semi-high-speed train on this section will facilitate the movement of a large number of workers between major industrial areas like Gurugram-Manesar-Pachgaon-Bilaspur-Dharuhera-Bawal-Shahjahanpur-Neemrana and Behror. In a way, this train will become an alternative to Delhi Metro for this area. The pre-construction work for the 107 km long Delhi-Gurugram-SNB Urban Complex RRTS corridor has started.

THREE PHASES The Delhi-Gurugram-SNB corridor is planned to be completed in three phases. Delhi-Gurugram-SNB Urban Complex will be constructed in the first phase. In the second phase it will be extended from SNB Urban Complex to Sotanala and in the third phase it will be extended up to Alwar. At present, the work of its pipe load testing has started.
16 stations will be built, expected to be operational by April 2025.
It is being told that the first phase can be completed by December 2024. This section is also expected to be commissioned by April 2025. A total of 16 stations will be constructed in the first phase. Of these, 11 will be elevated stations, while five will be underground. It will have a total of four stations within the limits of Gurugram.
RRTS is an ambitious plan of the BJP government for the public transport system of Delhi-NCR. After the construction of the Delhi-Gurugram-Alwar section, major industrial areas of the state like Manesar IMT, Dharuhera, Bawal, Rewari as well as Gurugram will be directly connected to Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
