According to the announcement made by the Railway Department, if you also book train tickets for travel, then you will have to enter the correct mobile number while booking the ticket. Along with this, after booking a ticket for the second class, you must check your PNR status. While checking PNR if you get ‘Route class deleted/Booking not allowed because the class assigned for the route has been deleted’ then you will get a full refund.

New refund system introduced

Along with this, if you have booked tickets through an agent, then a new OTP-based refund system has been introduced for such tickets. Through this, a transparent refund system has to be started for reserved e-tickets so that passengers do not face any kind of trouble.

Booking ticket through agent will get full money

Let us tell you that this new system has been started by IRCTC, through which you can easily get refund money. For this OTP will come on your registered mobile number. You need to share the OTP with the agent to receive the refund amount. Through this facility, the agent will know the correct information about the passenger’s canceled ticket or the ticket left from the waiting list and you will get the money back for the ticket.

Refund process made easy

Explain that the main objective of starting this facility is to make the cancellation refund process easy and simple. So that the amount of canceled tickets can be given to the passengers on time through the agent. OTP-based refunds for canceled tickets or fully waitlisted tickets will be processed only if the ticket is booked through IRCTC-authorized agents.
