In fact, the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has declared that the Toll plaza tax will rise from 3.5 to 7%, with an additional charge of up to 10% required for short distances.

The cost of taking the National Highway from Faridabad to Palwal has increased (NH 19). At the Gadpuri and Karman tolls, there has been an increase of Rs 5 for vehicles. And those commuting from Palwal (through the Kundli Ghaziabad Palwal (KGP) Expressway) to Ghaziabad (5), Noida and Greater Noida (5), Kundli Manesar Palwal (KMP) Expressway to Gurugram (5), as well as Sonepat (10) will need to dig even further into their pockets. All tolls will be subject to the new rate beginning at midnight on March 31. However, the Bandhwadi toll for traveling from Faridabad to Gurgaon is not currently subject to any new taxes. The Delhi Meerut Expressway has also seen a price hike of Rs 5. On the other hand, it is now expensive to go from Palwal to Ballabhgarh or Ballabhgarh Faridabad.
Ghaziabad residents will also be impacted
The National Highway Authority in Ghaziabad has raised the toll fee. This will take effect tonight at midnight. From Friday night at midnight, the toll on the NH-9 and the Delhi Meerut Expressway (DME) will increase by around 10%. Because the toll rates have raised, it will now cost extra to travel from Ghaziabad to Meerut and Hapur. Now, the Chijarsi toll on NH-9 charges Rs 155 for one round of automobiles, but going forward, the fee would be Rs 165. In the Kashipur toll plaza, Rs 160 will be levied in place of Rs 155.
