Several older iPhone devices won’t be compatible with Apple’s impending iOS 17 update, which is anticipated to be unveiled at the 2023 World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC).
According to the rumor,
Apple will introduce iOS 17 at its WWDC 2023 event. This version of iOS will be compatible with the newest iPhone models, including the XS, Max, XR, 11, 11, Pro series, 12, 13, and 14 Pro series.
The 2017 versions of the
iPhone 8, 8 Plus, and X might not, however, receive the most recent software update. These devices cannot be included in the future release as they have already received five big iOS upgrades.
The iPhone X, which commemorated the tenth anniversary
of the original, will be the first notch-display model to forgo a new software update since its release if the claims are true. This implies that cell phones that were introduced after the aforementioned phone will also be able to download the iOS 17 update.
We can expect a confirmation on the compatible list once iOS 17
is launched at WWDC 2023, even if Apple has not yet disclosed the list of eligible models that will receive the new iOS 17 update.
Certain iPad models, it was also stated in the study,
will not receive the latest software upgrade. According to reports, the impending iPadOS 17 upgrade will not be compatible with the iPad Pro 9.7-inch, iPad Pro 12.9-inch, or iPad fifth generation.
