Maruti Baleno CNG is defeated! Tata will introduce this awesome CNG car

In India, the premium CNG hatchback market is currently dominated by the Maruti Baleno CNG and Toyota Glanza. There is also a CNG variant of the Baleno and Glanza. However, the premium CNG hatchback market will now grow. The CNG version of the Altroz from Tata Motors will soon go on sale and will go up against the CNG versions of the Maruti Baleno and Toyota Glanza. On April 19, 2023, Tata Motors will officially reveal the Altroz CNG’s price range. Punch CNG was used to debut this vehicle at the Auto Expo earlier this year. A 1.2L petrol engine with twin-cylinder CNG technology will be available for the Tata Altroz CNG. Lower than the power output of the standard configuration, the system could produce 76 bhp and 97 Nm.

Increased boot space

The Altroz CNG’s two-cylinder system takes significantly less boot room than the standard CNG kit arrangement. Customers will have additional room to store luggage in the boot as a result. Both cylinders will have a capacity of 30 to 30 liters. The Direct State CNG system and Single Advanced EUC (Engine Control Unit) are standard on the Tata Altroz CNG. It will only be able to start and run on CNG. Petrol won’t be required at all.

Altroz CNG will have many features.

The hatchback has a modular gasoline filter, an automatic fuel switch, and speedier refueling. Additionally, the Altroz is the first CNG vehicle to feature Leakage Detection technology, which automatically switches to petrol in the event of a gas leak. The Tata Altroz CNG is comparable to standard petrol and diesel variants in terms of appearance and features. On the other hand, it will have CNG decals on the front and back windscreens.

The top-tier trim of the hatchback—

which includes a height-adjustable driver seat, leatherette seat upholstery, an electric sunroof, automatic climate control, projector headlamps, LED features like DRLs, shark fin antennas, R16 dual-tone alloy wheels, auto-folding ORVMs, six airbags—could serve as the basis for the CNG version of the vehicle.
