Today marked the formal opening of pre-orders for the Motorola Edge 40, which was just released in India. You won’t be able to pre-order the Motorola Edge 40 if you go to Flipkart. Because it makes sense that the phone would be sold out at the time this article was being written. The Motorola Edge 40 is a deal at Rs 29,999 because it comes with a ton of high-end hardware and features. Before we go any further, let me just say that since Motorola hasn’t issued me a review unit, I haven’t had an opportunity to test the gadget myself.
Ideal pricing
What do I think about the Motorola Edge 40’s price, then? I believe Motorola did a good job with the Edge 40’s pricing in India. The pricing of Rs 29,999 is just so wonderful for the features you receive here, many of which are industry firsts. In fact, this kind of aggressive pricing is something that should worry the rival businesses. However, as they say, it’s not just about pricing a phone correctly; instead, Motorola should focus on effectively marketing the Edge 40 to consumers, in order to persuade them to purchase it rather than a Samsung, Poco, Google, or any other phone from a major retailer.
The Motorola Edge 40 has a rather small form factor, for what it’s worth.
According to the manufacturer, it is the slimmest 5G phone currently on the market with an IP68 rating. And as of the last time I checked, the Galaxy A52 was the first phone under Rs 30,000 to receive an IP67 rating, followed, I believe, by the Motorola Edge 40, which performs even better with an IP68 classification.
Aside from this, though, the Motorola Edge 40
is the first phone to use the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chipset inside. Additionally, it made history as the first sub-Rs 30,000 phones with a 144Hz curved pOLED display. Although this is an 8-bit display, the power of the new CPU has not yet been put to the test. Even so, this phone appears to be a powerful package.
The Motorola Edge 40 not only offers all the premium features,
but it also includes a camera that will meet your needs. There is a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera in addition to a 50MP primary back camera with OIS. There is a 32MP selfie camera on the front. Of course, I can’t comment on the photographic capabilities of the phone without using it, but one of the finest features is the ability to record 4K films from both the front and rear cameras, which isn’t even featured on many high-end phones. Exceptional genius! Last but not least, Android 13 promises two years of Android OS upgrades with three years of security patch updates.
