From June 1, new regulations governing subsidies for the purchase of electric two-wheelers will be in effect. In the meantime, prices for items from TVS Motor Company, Ather Energy, and Ola Electric have climbed. After amending the FAME-II (to encourage speedier manufacturing and use of electric vehicles) scheme, TVS Motor Company claimed it has increased the price of the iQube from Rs 17,000 to Rs 22,000, depending on the model.
In Delhi, the base model of iQube originally cost
Rs 1,06,384 while the ‘S’ model cost Rs 1,16,886. Director and CEO of TVS Motor Company KN Radhakrishnan stated, “The Fame 2 will be phased out gradually over the coming quarters. Going forward, the company will continue to offer the greatest product solutions to support electrification and the usage of green energy in the nation’s two-wheeler market.
On Thursday, June 1,
the updated FAME-2 subsidy will go into effect, according to information provided by Ather Energy, which has therefore raised the cost of its scooters. The price of its 450X is now Rs. 1,45,000 (in Bengaluru), while the price of the 450X with Pro pack is now Rs. 1,65,435 (in Bengaluru).
