In India, the number of hybrid cars is now progressively rising. Toyota and Maruti Suzuki are two automakers attempting to increase gas mileage using hybrid vehicles. Both come with a 1.5L, 3-cylinder Atkinson Cycle Petrol Hybrid engine in the hybrid models. In this, the engine produces 92 horsepower while the electric motor produces 79 horsepower. While the hybrid system’s total power is 115 horsepower. It includes an eCVT gearbox. Both of them have a maximum fuel efficiency of 27.97 kmpl. Honda City Hybrid
It debuted the previous year. A 1.5L, 4-cylinder Atkinson cycle engine is standard on the vehicle. There are also two electric motors present. According to the manufacturer, the Honda City Hybrid can get up to 26.5 kilometers per litre of gasoline. On a single tank, it has a range of up to 1,000 kilometers. It is also offered in a non-hybrid configuration. However, its mileage is lower.
Hycross Toyota Innova/ Maruti Invicto
The hybrid version’s powerplant is shared by both of them. Actually, the Toyota Innova Highcross is the sole inspiration for the Maruti Invicto. It is constructed using a monocoque design. Both come with a 2.0L, 4-cylinder Atkinson cycle engine paired with an e-CVT in the Strong Hybrid models.
