In the Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China on Monday, India won its first gold medal. In the men’s 10-metre air rifle team competition, India took home the gold medal. Rudranksh Patil, Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar, and Divyansh continued to be in first place. India won two bronze medals in rowing shortly after this. More bronze medals for India in shooting.
Bronze went to Aishwary
India won another bronze medal in shooting in addition to the gold. Men’s 10-metre air rifle individual bronze medalist Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar. Two more medals in rowing
After this, India won two more medals. In the Men’s 4 rowing competition, Jaswinder, Ashish, Puneet, and Ashish took home bronze. Then, in the Men’s Quadruple Sculls (Rowing), Parminder Singh, Satnam Singh, Jakar Khan, and Sukhmeet Singh took home the bronze medal. Balraj Panwar of India failed to win the medal, however. India had a good first day at these games, taking home 5 medals on Sunday, the first day of competition. India’s first medal was won by the shooting trio of Ramita, Aashi Choukse, and Mehuli Ghosh, a star competitor. In shooting, another medal was obtained. whereas in rowing the country has got 3 medals so far.
Medals won at these events
On the very first day of medal competitions, Indian athletes took home 5 medals in total, including 3 silver and 2 bronze. Arjun Lal Jat and Arvind Singh won the first medal for India in the lightweight double scull in rowing. These two received silver. Mehuli Ghosh, Ramita, and Ashi Choksi won silver in the 10-metre air rifle event, giving India its second medal. In the pair rowing competition, Babulal Yadav and Lekhram took home the third medal (bronze) for the Indian team. Fourth Medal: For India, silver was achieved in the eight-person rowing event by Neeraj, Naresh Kalwania, Nitish Kumar, Charanjit Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Bhim Singh, Punit Kumar, Ashish, and Dhananjay Uttam Pandey. Ramita took home the bronze in the 10-metre rifle.
